Consistent natural reproduction of Walleye and other game species, with the exception of Muskellunge. Rusty Crayfish may be inhibiting reproduction of Centrarchid Panfish.


Little Star Lake

Management:  Walleye is the predominant predator; natural reproduction occuring, and growth is slightly faster than average. Some natural reproduction of Muskellunge; growth appears about average for area. Growth slow for Smallmouth Bass, but normal for Rock Bass and Yellow Perch. Perch reproduction is good.

Management:  Natural reproduction is adequate to maintain Walleye population; growth rate for this species is slightly above the area average. Limited natural reproduction among Muskellunge; stocking needed to maintain population. Panfish growth rate slow, except for that of Black Crappie, which is about average for the region. Rusty Crayfish present.
